Hindi Diwas

Modern School, true to its mission of preparing children for life, celebrated Hindi Diwas as the Language Day on September 14th and 15th this year. Inspired by our founder, Mr. Rakesh Kapoor’s belief in nurturing each child’s unique qualities, the event aimed to create a deep connection with the Hindi language while honing various skills through engaging activities.

Students from grades 1 to 12 showcased their linguistic skills and creativity in competitions such as Vartni Prtiyogita (spell bee), Kavita Rachna (poetry composition), Kahani Lekhan (story writing), and Vad-Vivad (debate). Additionally, the NewsRoom segment provided a platform for students to delve into current affairs and express their views confidently.

Under the discerning eyes of esteemed judges including Anuradha Yadav, Mrs. Garima Singh, and Nigar Jahan, students captivated the audience with their talent and confidence. Peehoo Yadav from Socrates House emerged victorious in the Middle School Spell Bee, while Deepali from Vivekananda House clinched the Senior School title.

In Kavita Rachna, Shreshthha from Vivekananda House and Aniruddh from Krishnamurti House stole the limelight with their poetic expressions. Furthermore, in the storytelling competitions, students showcased their narrative skills in both Hindi and English, leaving the audience spellbound.

Beyond the thrill of competition, Hindi Diwas served as a platform for students to develop essential skills such as communication, critical thinking, and self-management. The event exemplified the attributes of courage, creativity, and open-mindedness instilled in Modern School’s students.
