Role of Exhibition in the IB PYP (Nursery to grade five) program
The PYP Exhibition represents a significant event in the life of a PYP school and students, bringing together the essential elements of the PYP and sharing them with the whole school community.
All about the PYP exhibition
The PYP exhibition is all about ‘Student learning’. It is a celebration of the children’s knowledge throughout their PYP. The exhibition is intended to be a collaborative and student-led, in-depth inquiry during which students can demonstrate agency and take responsibility for their own learning. It is an opportunity for the pupils to share their message with their community and even the world.
Purpose of the exhibition
The key purposes of the Exhibition are:-
- To make students internationally minded.
- To engage students in an in-depth collaborative inquiry.
- To provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate independence and responsibility for their own learning.
- To provide students with an opportunity to explore multiple perspectives.
- Students synthesize and apply their learning of previous years and reflect upon their PYP journey.
- Students take action as a result of own learning.
