Where the school
slows down together.
Quiet mornings under the banyan. Library afternoons. Hackathons that bring twenty-five schools to campus. This is what a day at Modern feels like.
Forty-five years of shade.
Planted before the first classroom was built, the banyan has watched every Modern School student grow up. Cultural performances, quiet reading, mindfulness practice — the banyan is where the school slows down together.
It is the most photographed corner of campus, and the one most spoken about by alumni.
Twenty-five students. Not thirty-five.
Smaller classes mean every child gets seen. Every voice gets heard. Every name gets known. That changes everything else.
Built for curiosity.
Six spaces, each designed for a different way of learning. Children move between them through the day.
Three days a year, Modern hosts the city.
Our three flagship events are organised by students, for students from schools across Lucknow. They are the days the campus is at its loudest.
Pool, court, mat, board.
Every child plays a sport. We field teams in swimming, basketball, cricket, football, table tennis, and chess. Sport is on the timetable, not on the side.
What we never compromise on.
Emotional safety is what we talk about most. Physical safety is what we plan for hardest.
