VMWC wins among 100+ schools at Live Green UP 2016

The Live Green UP Campaign 2016 by the Times of India, to create awareness about environment through school children, turned out to be a great encouragement for students and citizens alike.

Vidyatree Modern World College’s project was adjudged the best among 150 innovative models from around prestigious 100 schools of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh. The mandate for the competition was to present a project proposal to make the city of Lucknow and the state of UP more ‘GREEN’ or environment friendly.

The project ‘Eco-friendly Infrastructure’, made by Apoorv Kapoor from standard 12th and Suryansh Singh and Priyanshi Rastogi from 10th, explored the idea of mass smog cleaners that recycle the pollutants into bricks, a water extractor which absorbs water molecules from moist air and converts it into water; and to paint roads and buildings with pollution reducing chemicals was greatly appreciated by the panel of judges.
