Junior Basketball Tournament

THE MODERN SCHOOL ALIGANJ ORGANIZES ‘ASISC UP/UK LUCKNOW ZONE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2013’ 27.7.2013 – 28.7.2013

The importance of sports in the life of young students is invaluable and goes much further than the basic answer that ‘it keeps the kids off the streets’. Keeping this thought in mind The Modern School, sector-E, Aliganj, hosted ‘ASISC UP/UK Lucknow Zone Basketball Championship 2013’ on 27.7.2013 and 28.7.2013 for Junior and Senior Girls.

The chief guest of the event was Mrs. A. Das, Vice Principal, La Martiniere Girls College, Lucknow. Also was present the Founder of the host school, The Modern School, Aliganj.

The participants in the tournament were Spring Dale College LDA, Spring Dale College A-Block, Gurukul Academy, LPC Sahara States, St. Fidelis College, Nirmala Convent, LPC Rajajipuram, Mount Carmel, St Dominic Savio College, Unity College, Modern Academy.

The winners of Zone A, Juniors is Mount Carmel College, Zone A Seniors is St. Fidelis College . In Zone B the champions of both Junior and Senior category is Spring Dale College, LDA branch.

The enthusiasm and sportsmanship showed by all the participants was commendable.
