Independence Day Celebrations

The students of The Modern School, Sector E, Aliganj, Lucknow celebrated 15 August – The 66th Independence Day, with great fervor and fun. The National Flag was hoisted followed by the traditional Inter-House Tug o’ war and wrestling matches. The encouraging roars were infectious. Sweets were also distributed by the students among the neighbors of the school by children.

Meritorious students, of classes VI to XI, of the session 2012-2013 were honoured with scholarship awards. They were: Ajeet Kr. Verma, Suryansh Singh, Krapi Rastogi, Muskan Dubey, Deeptima Jaiswar, Mehak, Ishika Singh, Anushka Prakash, Jayesh Gaur, Anushka Johri, Shivja Jha, Rohan Talwar, Isha Chauhan, Divanshu Srivastava, Jatin Srivastava, Mansi Nigam, Somika Rastogi, Shubhankar Mukherjee, Kratigya Rastogi, Archil Kumar and Amrit Rastogi.

The students of pre-primary celebrated Independence Day a day before with a wonderful cultural program of dances on peppy patriotic songs.
