Grandparents day celebration 2021

It has been rightly said that grandparents make the world a little softer, a little kinder, and a little warmer. PYP students of Modern school celebrated “online grandparent’s day” once again to express gratitude for their grandparents for their constant care, love and support.

Grandparents were invited to the event to share their valuable experiences and insight on life.

  • Students expressed love for grandparents through different activities- The students showcased their feelings for grandparents through various activities like role play, dance, singing bhajans, guitar playing, speech and poem recitation. 
  • Learners demonstrated affection for grandparents through beautiful handcraft skills– Students made beautiful cards, sketches, colourful drawings and posters thanking grandparents for being pillars of their life. 
  • Grandparents appreciated learners for their wonderful performances – Grandparents were so delighted that they became emotionally numb after receiving so much regard from little ones. 
  • Grandparents added a spark to the celebration with their robust participation- Grandparents shared life experiences, bhajans and some light moments with the children. They showered blessings on students as an appreciation.

Opinions of grandparents of Modernites about the event:

“We feel that age is just a number and we are still young at heart”- Mr Avinash Tandon, grandfather of Divisha Kakkar of Grade1 thanked the school for inviting him to the event. In his words, “All the kids celebrated the day enthusiastically, and we also enjoyed it a lot. With these kids, we feel that age is just a number and we are still young at heart. Last but not the least, we would like to share our feelings that we are continually impressed by how well the class teacher and all the other subject teachers handle the students. All our good wishes to them.” 

 

“Modern school emphasises on the educational and mental development of children which connects them to family, religion and nation”-Mrs Rekha Srivastava, grandmother of Aadwik Srivastava of grade nursery was impressed by the event and shared her feelings “ Modern school emphasises on the educational and mental development of children which connects them to family, religion and nation. I never thought that one day I will share the stage with my grandson on grandparents day. I will always remember this day. For this day I am thankful to the school and the class teacher.”

Modernites demonstrated confidence and courage during the event while showcasing the attributes of caring and reflective communicators. Truly, Grandparents day celebration was unconditional positive regard by Modernites to the footsteps of future generations – Happy Grandparents Day
