Cooking without Fire by Primary students : Final Round
Final round of ‘Cooking without Fire’ on 6th July, 2018 for the PYP (Grades 1 to 5) was one of the most delicious, nutritious and creative event at our campus. It’s an activity which helps students to bring out their cooking skills and creativity without any danger of fire. The competition was conducted with a view to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without fire. The students of PYP came up with many innovative ideas which were judged by Mrs. Saroj Rai and Mrs. Divya Saxena. Around 37 students qualified for the final round. Each one of them participated with great enthusiasm.
Dishes like sprout salads, khajoor ke laddoo, cucumber rolls, fruit and muesli parfait, mango shreekhand and many more were prepared by the participants. Boiled items, breads or any market snack was prohibited. Sprouts, vegetables or fruits had to be one of the key ingredients of their dish. They were judged over the ingredients used, knowledge about the dish, its nutritional value, presentation and taste. The food items displayed were a visual treat for everyone. It was hard for the judges to find the best amongst all.
The event left an everlasting mesmerising memories on our taste buds.
