Math wizard at 13!

Is mathematics so easy? Ask Prajwal Rastogi, student of class VIII–C and the winner of merit medal at the Mental Arithmetic competition. He solved 106 mathematical sums in just 8 minutes!

The competition was conducted by UCMAS Abacus Learning Pvt. Ltd. (since 1993), and was held on 16th April,’09. The question paper had arithmetic problems based on division, multiplication, decimal, addition, subtraction which were divided into 8 levels.

Prajwal enjoys solving maths and learning physics. He is just thirteen, and aspires to be an engineer.

On being asked, if he had something to say, he thanked his maths teacher Mr. Sudhir who helped him in learning the ability to solve the sums in the quickest manner. The school aims at nurturing the student’s cognitive intelligence and instilling the skills of dedication, hard work, aptitude and self confidence.
