The school foundation helped me carve my future says Alumni Vishal Keswani

1989 is when my parents wanted me to join Modern School but it didn’t happen. I got the admission in my second attempt in 1990. My father would drop and pick me daily to school, we stayed in Charbagh (about 15kms from the school). Within few years we shifted close by. Initial few years it was the rickshaw wala who would ferry us to school, then we rode bicycles and then in last year, when we graduated from the school, it was dad’s very own 2 wheeler. Similarly, each year in school brings about tons of memories, be it annual functions, quiz competitions, drama or hobby classes. I learnt how to swim, skate or sketch. Hindi classes from Kanak Ma’am, Pant sir’s wooden geometry box, Aerobics during assembly are all fond remembrance of childhood, friendship and accomplishments. These we cherish till date.

I passed out of school in 2002 and moved to Bangalore for higher studies. I graduated as Telecom engg in 2007. The foundation from the school days helped carve my future. I was adjudged the best outgoing student for my batch and was selected for SAP scholar program for higher studies.

I started working with Infosys in 2007 and presently I am working as team lead with Edgevere, product division of Infosys. I am based out of Hyderabad.

A month back I took my infant kid to show my school. Though he is way too small to understand, it was my personal desire to go and see my alma mater. This has been always the routine whenever I visit Lucknow. School seems to have changed a lot since the time we passed out but it always holds the special position in our life. It’s always a pleasure to meet friends or teachers. The endless chats bring back those days.

A school is where you make friends forever. Wishing all the best to my dear friends and teachers.

I wish to relive those days again. Perhaps I would do so when my son goes to school.
