Yoga Day

Modern School celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm, aiming to promote physical and mental well-being among students from grades 5 to 12. The event featured a series of basic and easy asanas, led by Ashish sir.

Recognizing the challenges of prolonged sitting during study sessions, our alumna Niranjana Neha Dwivedi, a seasoned yoga practitioner incorporated chair-based yoga exercises into the session. Students learned simple yet effective asanas that could be practised even while seated, providing relief from the strain of long hours of study.

Additionally, breathing exercises were incorporated into the session to help students relax and rejuvenate their minds. Through these practices, students not only learned valuable techniques for physical fitness but also gained tools for stress management and mental clarity.

The celebration of Yoga Day at Modern School was not just about physical exercise; it was a holistic approach to wellness that addressed the needs of our students in the context of their academic pursuits. By integrating yoga into their daily routines, students were motivated to prioritise their health and cultivate a balanced lifestyle.
