Grand Bal Mela
On November 18th, 2023, Modern School transformed into a hub of excitement and activity as it hosted Bal Mela, a lively carnival that brought together students from early years to Grade 12 for a day of fun-filled fundraising. Sponsored by esteemed partners such as Shyam Sons, Universal, Kiddy Garments, Lernio, and Saucy Bites, the event featured an array of food and game stalls, offering something for everyone.
A total of 30 stalls dotted the school premises, manned by enthusiastic students and open to both school attendees and visitors from outside. From delectable treats to thrilling games, participants showcased their entrepreneurial spirit while honing essential skills such as communication, critical thinking, and managerial prowess.
Excitement filled the air as winners of various competitions were announced, with prizes ranging from gift hampers and vouchers to coveted items like Marshall’s speakers, VIP strollers, and Hero bicycles. Arya Gupta peddled away with the grand prize of a Hero bicycle, while Ashvik Srivastava strolled away with a VIP stroller, courtesy of generous sponsors.
The experience was not just about fun and games; it was a valuable learning opportunity for students, who gained firsthand experience in earning money and organising an event. Parents cheered on their children, delighted to see them manage the stalls with efficiency and enthusiasm.
