Exploring Buildings & Structures – A Grade 2 Road Trip

Grade 2 students of The Modern School, went on a road trip to explore different types of buildings and structures of the city as part of the current class unit of the same name (Buildings & Structures).

The students travelled to Gomti Barrage, GPO, Vidhan Sabha, Hotel Clarks Avadh,Charbagh Railway station and at Bara Imambara, with quick stops at some of those places.

The students discussed history and other facts about the buildings and structures like construction material used and effects of the building on its surroundings, etc. The students had a lot of fun connecting classroom topics to real life.

Most importantly the students got an opportunity to develop many attributes (inquirer, caring, principled, communicator and knowledgeable) and attitudes (curiosity, confidence, enthusiasm and co-operation).

The stop at Bada Imambara was the longest with eatables provided by the school.
