Fee Schedule and Rules for 2022-23

4. Concessions

1. 1. Whole Year Fee Payment concession: 
      1. The facility for whole year fee payment is given to make the payment system stress-free for the parents. Parents can opt to pay the whole year’s fee at one go, by
         25 March, 2022, for a concession of 3% on the whole session’s fee amount. 
      2. Please request for the same via “parent desk” and the fee structure on the Lernio app shall be updated with the concessional whole session’s amount. Please make the requests latest by 17 March, 2022.
   2. Referral concession: For every admission referral by an existing  parent – 5% concession on the tuition fee may be granted for one whole session. Also, the new admission gets Rs.3,000/- concession on the admission fee.
   3. Sibling concession on the school tuition fee: For second child: 10%, For third child: 7%
   4. Alumni concession on the school tuition fee: To the children of Modern School Alumni: 5% concession 

c. Sibling concession in the school fee: For second child: 10%, For third child: 7%

5. Scholarships: Awarded as per given criteria, as a percentage of the school fee.

   2. “Justice D K Trivedi” Chairman’s Academic Excellence Scholarships
      1. Grade 8 final exam top 3 scorers: 25% fee scholarship for next 2 sessions (2022-23 & 2023-24) in Grades 9 & 10 
      2. Grade 10 ICSE board exams top 5 scorers: 50%, 35%, 35%, 25% & 25% fee scholarships respectively, for next 2 sessions (2022-23 & 2023-24) in Grades 11 & 12

•  “Dr. Nitayanad” School-Patron’s Scholarship Exam

1. 1. For students of Grades 3 to 10, who will be moving to Grades 4 to 11 during session 2022-23, respectively.
   2. For students scoring 95% score in the special scholarship exam to be conducted on
      13 March, 2022.
   3. Scholarship awards: 25% to 50% of fee of session 2022-23
2. Sports Scholarship: For students who play any sport at the state or national level. Scholarship awards: 25% to 50% of fee of next session
3. Star Modernite Parents Scholarship
   1. Parents need to apply for this scholarship on the prescribed format available in the school office or with the class teachers. 
   2. Critera: (i) No discipline issues (ii) Family supports the school and is respectful (iii) Regularly get reference admissions (iv) Student is well-behaved and all-rounder and contributes to a positive class environment (iv) Fee is paid as per schedule
   3. Scholarship award: upto 25% 

6. Payment System

1. 1. Parents have to pay all fee through the school mobile app ‘Lernio’. For any assistance in using the mobile app for fee payment, the parents may visit the school office between 9:30 am to 10:30 am Monday to Friday on working days, or give a call on the school office number 6389027613; 9984460018.
   2. Parents can also pay the fee at the school office via a bank draft during office hours, Monday to Friday. While sending a draft the parent must mention at the back of the draft the following: student name, parent name, class, instalment number, and mobile contact numbers.  
   3. Parents can also pay the fee at the school office via a credit/debit card swipe, during the office hours, Monday to Friday.
   4. Parents are welcome to pay the fee for any number of instalments in advance.

7. Late Fee 

1. 1. After the due date has passed, the fee must be paid with the late fee fine as the amount appears on the ‘Lernio’ app, or at the School office by demand draft during office hours and receipt obtained within three days.
   2. All fee concessions, including sibling concession, may be canceled in case of repeated late fee, more than once.
   3. Late fee fine: Rs. 50 per day per instalment, after the due date. 
   4. If the fee is not paid within two weeks of the due date, the teacher will be compelled to no longer undertake the education of the child and the child’s name shall be struck off the rolls of the school and re-admission charges of Rs. 10,000 shall become applicable.

8. Transport Fee (in case the school campus is open after universal vaccinations and parental consent)

1. 1. Please contact the school office (9554933335; 95549 33337) for details of the transport fee as per location, during the office hours, Monday to Friday on working days.
   2. The transportation fee will follow the same monthly schedule as the tuition fee. For late payment, the parent will have to pay a fine of Rs. 50 per day. This fine will be in addition to any late tuition fee fine. 
   3. For availing the school transport service, the transport service registration form needs to be filled and submitted at the school office. This form will be available at the school office. The transport service is for the complete session. The transport service cannot be discontinued in mid-session. The whole session’s transport service fee shall remain applicable.

9. Mid-session admission fee rules

1. 1. In case of any admission during the mid-session, the preceding two fee instalments shall be payable. 
   2. In case of any withdrawal during mid-session, the upcoming two fee instalments shall be payable before the Transfer Certificate is issued.
   3. The above two rules also apply to the transport fee or any other add-on fee.
